What Is Section Q Music?
Section Q is Jamie Boulton, currently residing in Lausanne Switzerland. A drummer, song-writer, sound engineer, teacher and website designer to name just a few of my skills.
The aim with Section Q Music will eventually be to combine all of my interests and knowledge into one comprehensive site, here you'll be able to peruse the many different services I can provide.
Key Skills
- Live and Studio drummer in a variety of styles/genres, extensive touring and studio experience.
- Pro Tools (v5.* – 7.4) experience of 10 years.
- Working knowledge of Cubase, Reason and Logic.
- Synth programming (Roland SH101 and Juno 6/60/106, mini-Korg, Prophet 5, various software synths).
- Drums and Pro tools teaching experience.
- Song writer.
- Web designer and developer.
- Team management.
- Equally at home working in smaller or larger groups.
- Professional, proactive and versatile.
Achievements
- Won a place at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2006 ‘Under the Sky’ competition with my band Nemo. Returned in 2007 to share the Stravinsky stage with Beverly Knight, Family Stone and Living Colour.
- Set up London based Deepsee Studios from scratch, turned a small project studio into a profitable commercial studio.
- Successfully ran ‘The System’ electro club between 2000 and 2006, The System played host to many well known bands, then in their infancy. Hoxton’s Underbelly, Waterrats/KingsX, The Marquee and Mudd Club/Berlin were all once homes to the club.
- Toured with Imogen Heap as both backing band and support act on her 2006 UK tour.
- Completed 3 albums written/recorded/produced between 2004 and 2009 and licensed them in Europe.
- Secured several European tours with Nemo between 2007 and 2009.
- Self taught web designer to a very high degree.
